Seed & Mow · Legal drafts
Privacy Policy
How Seed & Mow handles account details, lawn information, conversations, and optional features.
1. Who is responsible
Seed & Mow is a lawn-care information and coaching service. This policy covers seedandmow.com and the Seed & Mow account experience.
The legal business name, business contact details and monitored privacy email are being confirmed. No effective date has been set for this working draft.
2. Information we collect
Please keep passwords, payment details, government identifiers, health information, and unrelated information about other people out of lawn questions and photos. Avoid including children, faces, house numbers, or other identifying details in images.
- Account information: your account identifier, email address, name or display name, and sign-in information provided through our authentication provider.
- Lawn and property information you choose to provide: property nicknames, an optional nearest city or region, lawn names, grass type, approximate lawn area, sunlight, watering methods, goals, and care history. The current property form does not require a street address.
- Service content: questions, messages, AI replies, saved plans, observations, treatment records, and the information used to keep your lawn conversations connected over time. Free-text fields may contain any information you choose to enter.
- Photos, when an upload or analysis feature is available to you: the image, its association with your account and lawn, and technical records needed to upload, retrieve, or remove it. Photo upload and analysis are optional features; these disclosures describe their handling when available to you.
- Usage and technical information: page or feature use, starter-plan completion and save events, session or account context, timestamps, device/browser information, network information, and error or security records processed by our hosting and platform providers. The exact platform-collected fields require final verification.
- Correspondence: information you send when asking for help or making a privacy request, once the contact channel is available.
3. Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you, from your use of the service and browser storage, and from the providers that support sign-in, hosting, storage, and AI responses. AI replies and conversation summaries may also create inferences about the lawn conditions you describe. These inferences may be wrong.
4. How we use information
We do not need your street address for the current onboarding flow. Any future address-based weather or automation feature needs its own clear explanation and an optional choice before collection.
- Provide and protect your account, keep different customers’ records separate, and remember your selected property or lawn.
- Save and retrieve lawn details, plans, and conversation history, and use relevant context when responding to a lawn-care question.
- Process a photo you choose to upload or submit for analysis when that feature is available.
- Understand feature use, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and improve the service.
- Respond to requests and meet applicable legal obligations.
5. Providers and other disclosures
Base44 supports authentication, application hosting, data records, platform usage measurement, and our AI gateway. AI requests include the message and relevant lawn or conversation context. The gateway may send this material to downstream model providers.
The existing site styling also requests fonts from Google Fonts on some pages. Loading an external font sends a network request to that provider. The legal draft pages use system fonts without that external request.
Amazon Web Services supports private-photo storage and delivery through S3 and CloudFront. Time-limited links are used for supported viewing. For the current analysis path, the service retrieves the prepared private image and sends its image data with the request through the AI gateway. Access controls and link expiration do not prevent a permitted recipient from retaining a copy.
Authorized administrators may access records for support, troubleshooting, security, and operation of the service. We may disclose information when legally required, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a lawful business transfer with appropriate notice and safeguards.
External websites you choose to visit, including retailers linked from future product recommendations, have their own privacy practices. A retailer may receive ordinary request information and affiliate attribution when you follow a link.
6. Cookies, browser storage, and measurement
The service uses browser storage for sign-in, temporary plan handoff, selected lawn context, and recovery of interrupted actions. The photo flow may keep temporary image drafts and technical recovery receipts in the browser. Clearing browser storage can sign you out or remove unsaved local work; it does not delete server records.
The reviewed application sends Base44 page-use events for signed-in users and completion/save events for starter plans. The event code does not deliberately attach the plan answers to those completion/save events, but the SDK may add its own user or session context.
Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Base44 session recordings are planned. This draft does not activate them. Their exact collection, recipients, settings, retention, and choice controls must be disclosed before they are introduced.
The reviewed application does not contain a verified Do Not Track response or Global Privacy Control enforcement mechanism. Global Privacy Control and the older Do Not Track signal are different mechanisms. Final wording must reflect tested behavior and applicable requirements.
7. Retention and removal
The reasons information may need to be retained include maintaining an active account and lawn history, resolving interrupted actions or support requests, preventing abuse and meeting legal obligations. Category-specific retention periods and provider/backup handling are still being confirmed; this draft does not promise a fixed deletion deadline.
Archiving a property or lawn keeps its records saved and allows later restoration. It is not deletion. Removing browser data only affects that browser.
When photo uploads are available, choosing a photo prepares and uploads it before Send. Send submits the prepared photo for AI processing. Removing it from the message is a separate action; closing the picker, leaving the page, or clearing browser data does not itself delete an already uploaded object.
Account-wide file-library and account-deletion controls are planned, not available self-service features in this reviewed version.
For supported photo removal, revoking app access and receiving an acknowledgement for current storage objects does not establish immediate erasure of every storage version, delivery cache, backup, or copy already sent to an AI provider. Existing time-limited links may remain valid until expiration. We will describe what has actually been removed and any remaining retention or legal exception.
An interrupted upload or response does not establish that no data was transmitted. Limited attempt and recovery records may remain so the service can distinguish a completed action from an uncertain one. Signing out does not itself delete your saved service records.
8. Your choices and privacy requests
Account-wide deletion and a file library with removal controls are still planned. Do not treat removing a message attachment or archiving a lawn as deleting your account.
You can edit your display name in Account and use available lawn/profile editing controls to correct the information shown there. You can choose what to include in optional fields and messages.
A monitored privacy request channel is being finalized. Once available, it will explain how to ask for access, correction, deletion or other applicable rights. Verification should use only information reasonably needed for the request. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers or identity documents through an unverified channel.
Rights and exceptions depend on your location and the law that applies. The California Privacy Notice explains the CCPA/CPRA rights and the information that must be confirmed before that notice is finalized.
9. Security and international processing
We use access controls and other safeguards designed to protect information. No online system, storage service, or transmission is completely secure. Please use a secure sign-in method and avoid submitting information that is unnecessary for lawn care.
Providers may process information in countries different from where you live. The actual processing locations, applicable transfer safeguards and intended launch countries are still being reviewed.
10. Children
Seed & Mow is being designed for people managing lawns. Please do not submit children’s personal information or identifiable images of children. The minimum user age, intended audience and procedure for handling children’s information are still being finalized; this draft does not claim an implemented age-verification control.
11. Policy changes and contact
We will post an updated policy with its effective date when our practices change. When a change materially affects how personal information is handled, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required before the new use begins.
The verified privacy email and any required postal contact will be added here before the policy takes effect. This draft does not offer a working privacy-request submission method.
