Use one sheet for each area that dries or drains differently. Record what you see before changing the watering program.
Observation aid, not a diagnosis, root measurement or fixed watering schedule. For actively germinating seeded lawns. Follow local guidance and watering restrictions.

Development and moisture
Stage: germinating / first shoots / establishing / uncertain
At several representative spots: drying / moist / saturated / uncertain
Uneven emergence, dry edges, puddles, runoff or sprinkler problems
Action and next check
Water actually applied, any adjustment, and the reason
What to check next, where, and when
Keep the germinating seedbed moist without saturation. First shoots do not prove the whole mixture is ready for a longer dry interval. Reduce frequency gradually as seedlings establish. Stop an application that causes ponding or runoff and investigate.
